our story

In 1998

  we began fabricating basswood and poly shutters in St. Louis, Missouri. By 2000, we became customizers of O'Hair Shutters' primed products because we realized that we could never produce panels of equal quality. In 2008, because of our high volume and dedication to excellence, we were awarded exclusive rights to the O'Hair Customs program. Today most of our interior product line is finished by O'Hair, but we still do a fair amount of painting for highly customized interior jobs and exterior shutters as well. Our manufacturing and customizing experiences have given us an invaluable knowledge of materials, panel construction, prep, finishing and installation that is unmatched among local shutter vendors.

In 2004

  we launched our exterior line of shutters. After receiving multiple requests by our customers to supply them with fine exterior wood shutters, we relented and began studying the current products available. We searched extensively for the very best exterior panel we could find, and after a year of research we chose Southern Shutter because of their extensive line of western red cedar as well as their millwork capabilities and capacity.
