  We will always try to hinge a panel, but sometimes it becomes necessary to use magnet mounts when a panel will not be able to swing open because it will hit lighting, plumbing, millwork or other hardware features. Magnet mounting in casement windows gives the units a nice recessed look while achieving the needed clearance. Safety screws are often installed to keep children or maids from unexpectedly pulling the panel off the magnets and out of the window.
